The Management Committee of the Diamond Centre is a group of 12 volunteers who are all Trustees of the Centre, many of these are volunteer instructors and helpers. Together with the Centre Manager, they oversee the efficient day to day operation of the Centre, ensure that facilities are maintained to a high standard and work to secure the financial future of the Diamond.
John Willoughby - Chairman
John became the Chairman in 2004. He moved up to this area from the Cotswold where he was involved with fundraising for Age Concern. John is married to Christine, who is a volunteer at Diamond.
Elaine Malins - Executive Chairman
Elaine has volunteered at the Centre for twenty years. Elaine is instructor for both riding and carriage driving, she has been on many assorted committees to help run the Diamond for about fifteen years and has been Executive Chairman for six years.
Robert Mathews - President of Diamond
Robert has a long association with Diamond going back over 23 years. He joined the Management Committee in 1990 and became Chairman in 1999, having previously been Vice-Chairman for five years. In 2004 he stepped down as Chairman and was elected President in February 2006. He has a hat for every occassion and a badge for being President!

Angela Goldie - Centre Administrator
Angela has the challenging task of balancing the combination of 360+ riders, 250+ volunteers, 30 horses, the board of Trustees and the dedicated band of expert staff (not forgetting the dogs). Whatever the challenges each day brings, Angela can always gaze out of the window to what must be one of the best views from an office there is!
Cat Townsend - Yard Manager
BHSAI Intermediate Teach Intermediate Stable Management Stage 4
Catherine, or Cat, as she likes to be known, has worked previously at Berkshire College of Agriculture as well as numerous riding schools gaining extensive knowledge. Cat has just returned from Egypt where she spent two years teaching scuba diving and swimming with the sharks, good training for her time at Diamond!
Gillian Meiklejohn - Senior Instructor
BHS III RDAI AB Whip Level 1 Vaulting
Gillian has joined us after five years at Bannockshire RDA in Scotland. Gillian is looking forward to working with the staff and volunteers as part of the Diamond team and will bring some Scottish sparkle to the School.
Anthea Pell - Physiotherapist
MCSP, Level III Horse & Rehabilitation, RDAI
Anthea has been involved with RDA for many years and has led the way in the development of hippotherapy at Diamond with her extensive knowledge. Anthea is also RDA Classifier for Dressage and a keen rider. In her 'spare' time she works as a paediatric physio therapist specialising in neurology. Anthea's leisure time is spent with her family enjoying various sports and activities.
Kate Gordon - Head Girl
BHS Intermediate Stable Management
Kate has joined us from Kingston Riding School and has varied experience and knowledge to bring to Diamond. She is enjoying getting to know the horses, staff and volunteers. Safer on a horse than a tractor!
Katie Parsons-Dorman
BHS Stage 1 & 2 ND in Equine Management
Katie has known Diamond for ten years, coming to us a junior and joining the staff in 2004. With a passion for anything pink - Katie is always cheery - especially since she has past her driving test!
Emily Burt - Groom
ND in Animal Management
Emily has been a part of Diamond since she joined us in 2001 as a junior helper. She was the proud winner of the the Junior of the Year 2005 and is currently working towards her BHS stages, her most winning attribute is her broad smile and constant giggle!
Marcus Vick - Groom
NVQ 1 & 2 in Equine Studies
Marcus originally rode at Diamond from the age of seven his long involvement with Diamond has meant a lot to him and is an asset to the yard team. Marcus studied at Chichester College after leaving school. He is a successful member of our dressage team and competes Nationally representing Diamond. He is also an active member of the vaulting team.
Sue Izod - Part Time Groom
Sue originally started as a volunteer back in 1994 and joined the staff in 2002. Never happier than charging about pony club style on her favourite Malachi.
Liz Royou-Compton - Part Time Groom
Liz is a keen horse woman with two charges of her own. Liz has recently qualified as a Bowen Therapist for humans and is studying to take the equine equivalent. Liz has already found a challenge and favourite in Tasmin and often spends her lunchtimes schooling her.
Linda Paull - Admin Assistant
Linda has been part of Diamond for many, many years, what she dosen't know about Diamond isn't worth knowing!
Sue McDougall - Admin Assistant
Sue has joined on the staff after previously having known us as a volunteer. Sue has previously spent many years in the publishing industry. Sue particularly enjoys the view from the office window and the daily contact with the horses.
