Study after study is confirming the benefits of volunteering for people … the social interaction that volunteering offers is extremely important, with group activities that provide conviviality appearing to offer the most benefit. Sir Stuart Etherington, CEO, NCVO, October

We currently need more volunteers to lead our horses and ponies, or to help around the stables. Diamond would be unable to operate without our excellent team of volunteers. So, if you like horses and can spare a couple of hours each week and want to do something really rewarding with your spare time, Diamond would love to meet you. You don’t need to have any experience of horses – we will train you. If you want to help us but not with the horses, we have other opportunities such as gardening or manning the tea room, please call the office for details.

Every week over 360 disabled children and adults enjoy riding or driving at The Diamond Centre – but without Diamond’s team of dedicated volunteers they would not be able to do so.

So, if you can help please phone us on  020 8643 7764 or come along and find out more (please remember the centre is closed on Sundays and Mondays).
