Welcome to The Diamond Centre for Disabled Riders

Diamond provides adults and children with disabilities therapeutic time with horses, either mounted or unmounted.

The Diamond Centre for Disabled Riders is a registered charity, which provides unique facilities to benefit disabled children and adults by having regular contact with horses. We have around 350 riders per week, with a range of disabilities, aged range from 3 to 75+ years old. Every week they enjoy time with horses, mounted or unmounted, vaulting, with the assistance of our coaches, volunteers and staff. All our participants gain something out of their sessions whether it’s physical, sensory, educational or communicative benefits and, of course, it puts a smile on everyone’s faces!

At The Diamond Centre, our mission is to empower individuals with disabilities through equine‑related services, while placing horse welfare at the heart of everything we do. We believe that true partnership between horse and participant is built on compassion, respect, and ethical horsemanship. By creating a safe, supportive environment for both horses and participants, we foster confidence, independence and joy—ensuring every interaction honours the well‑being of our horses and the individuality of every participant.
