We had a busy summer at Diamond, with our fundraising and volunteer events!
- We held a Supporter’s Evening in April to thank our significant supporters. It was a lovely evening and a great opportunity to demonstrate how we have invested in our facilities as a result of their support.
- Our first ever Showcase Day was held at the end of May. The purpose of the event was to demonstrate what we do to the local community and hopefully attract new supporters and volunteers. The event was a huge success, with 3 horses receiving sponsorship, a further £2000 raised through the sale of hay donations, raffle tickets and food, and a lot of interest from potential volunteers was generated.
- Our annual Volunteer Thank You Event was held at The Diamond Centre in June, to pay special thanks for our amazing volunteers for everything they do for us at Diamond
- Other important fundraising events have included the ever-popular Carshalton Beeches plant exchange, the Diamond Quiz Night and the Banstead Charity Walk.
- A special mention goes to Claire Humphrey who completed the London Marathon earlier this year raising in excess of £1000 for Diamond.
These are just a few of our recent events and activities, a huge thank you to our fundraising team and volunteers, who are always out and about at shows and events promoting and raising money for Diamond.
