We had a busy Christmas at Diamond, with our fundraising and volunteer events!
- At the beginning of December we held our open day and Christmas Show, with some amazing riding displays from our riders and vaulters, as well as the oppurtunity for lots of pony cuddles on the yard. The event was filmed by South West Londoner which provides online news, reviews, features from across south-west London. - A team of volunteers (and two donkeys!) ran a tombola at the annual Yulefest held in Banstead Road, Carshalton. The event raised £1,910 for Diamond. Our thanks to Nicki Sutcliffe for bringing Josh and Aubrey to meet the large number of visitors from the local community who attended the event.
- RDA Coaches conference was held in November where 6 coaches attented to hear all about the latest in RDA!
- We also held a Christmas arts and crafts, where the Rapid Relief Team came to The Diamond Centre and provided a tasty Christmas lunch for our volunteers. It was much appreciated by all, including the ponies who were able to have the apples left over from lunch as a treat.
- Diamond was also one of the charities that received generous donations from the Carshalton Rotary Santa Collection (£450) and Banstead Rotary Santa Collection (£550).
- We also held a fundraising Tack Sale in the big school
These are just a few of our recent events and activities, a huge thank you to our fundraising team, who are always out and about at shows or events promoting and raising money for Diamond.
