Adrienne sadly passed away on 20th October 2025 – one of the first people who volunteered at Diamond. It was way back in 1974 when Adrienne Simons, heard about the establishment of a new riding centre to assist the disabled.
It was after a visit to Diamond where she met Keith Webb that stimulated her interest to assist as a helper. To be more useful, she gained a BHS Assistant Instructor’s Certificate in 1980, ably supported by Sister Chiara.
Adrienne married Robin at the age of 19 and lived in Reigate & Kingswood before moving to in Monaco and then finally retiring to Torquay. Over the years she always kept in touch and was a very generous Diamond  supporter.
We are grateful for the donations at Adrienne’s funeral and delighted that in March we were able to purchase “Honey” our five‑year‑old, 14.3hh Dun Irish Cob in her memory.
Adrienne spent 17 years at Diamond where she will be remembered as one who listened without judgement and certainly made on impact on people’s lives.
