You may have noticed the smart new bench next to the new cycle racks to the right of the front door to the centre. The bench was donated by the Tuesday morning volunteers in memory of one of their dear friend Celia Langley who sadly passed away last year.
Celia was one of the first supporters of the Diamond centre when it began. The Diamond’s Founder, Keith came and asked Celia if he could borrow some of her horses from her nearby riding school to use to help disabled children experience the joy of horse riding. Celia loaned her horses to Keith and from then on became long serving volunteer to the Diamond serving as deputy instructor on Tuesday morning lessons and creating many spectator props and costumes for Diamond events.

In May 2024 Celia received her thirty years of service from the RDA and continued to volunteer on Tuesday mornings until she sadly passed away in July 2024. The bench was organised by her fellow Tuesday morning volunteer friends, We will forever be grateful to Celia and her commitment to The Diamond Centre.
